LAHORE:

Justice Shahid Waheed of the LHC sought the federal government’s reply on Thursday on identical petitions calling upon the court to take action against Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif for his alleged involvement in establishing offshore companies and concealing facts from the public.

These petitions were filed by PTI leader Gohar Nawaz Sindhu, Pakistan Awami Tehreek and others. The petitioners named the PM, his two sons Hussain Nawaz and Hassan Nawaz, daughter Maryam Nawaz, former interior minister Rehman Malik, the ECP, NAB, and FIA as respondents.

The petitioner submitted that top politicians and PM were involved in transferring public money out of the country and setting up offshore companies. He said that public money was invested in offshore companies and the money was also not legally shifted abroad.
