Retirement benefits: Ombudsman wants process simplified

ISLAMABAD:


The federal ombudsman on Thursday underlined the need to simplify the process of granting post-retirement benefits to government employees and urged that no stone be left unturned to remove hurdles.


Salman Faruqui was chairing a high-level committee meeting at Federal Ombudsman Secretariat to redress difficulties being faced by retired government servants regarding post-retirement benefits.

The committee was formed by Faruqui.

Faruqui directed committee members to forward provisional recommendations to Finance Minister Ishaq Dar.
