LAHORE:

An additional district and sessions judge on Monday sought comments from the Baghbanpura SHO on 11 petitions filed by the Sui Northern Gas Pipeline Limited (SNGPL) seeking a case against 11 people for stealing gas for their factories and supplying it to more than 170 houses. SNGPL distribution officer Sharafat Ali submitted that his team had caught the 11 people stealing gas. He said three of them – Muhammad Amanat, Muhammad Asif and Masroor Ahmed – were not only stealing gas but also supplying it to other consumers. The petitioner said he had requested the SHO to take action against the suspects but nothing had been done. He requested the court to direct the SHO to register FIRs against them.
