Panjgur shooting: Gunmen kill six members of a family

The gunmen slipped away unchallenged following the attack

Six members of a family were gunned down inside a house in Panjgur district of Balochistan on Saturday, police officials said. Among the victims was a woman.


According to police, some unidentified men barged into the home and sprayed bullets on the inmates. The gunmen slipped away unchallenged following the attack.


Police officials said it was unclear why the mass killings took place. The identity of the killers also remains a mystery. The deceased were identified as Nawaz, Murad Jan, Muhammad Younas, Ahmed, Amina Bibi.


Separately, a police constable was shot dead on the main thoroughfare of Sariab Road in Quetta. “Some elements are trying to destroy the law and order in Panjgur,” Panjgur Deputy Commissioner Mujeebur Rehman said.
