New appointment: Chief secretary calls on governor

LAHORE: Newly-appointed Chief Secretary Capt (r) Zahid Saeed called on Governor Malik Muhammad Rafique Rajwana at Governor’s House on Wednesday. Law and order situation and ongoing development projects in south Punjab were discussed at the meeting. Rajwana said that safety of the people was the main responsibility of the government. “All government officials should serve the masses. The success and failures of government policies depends on their implementation. The bureaucracy plays a pivotal role in this regard,” he said. He expressed the hope that the chief secretary would perform his professional duties in a befitting manner.
