Texpo 2016: Sri Lankan delegation arrives

As part of the expo, a fashion show will also be organised

ISLAMABAD:


A 15-member Sri Lankan business delegation, led by Sri Lanka Minister for Commerce and Industry Rishad Bathiudeen, arrived here to attend the textile sector-specific exhibition TeXpo Pakistan 2016. The delegation came on a four-day official visit to Pakistan on the invitation of Commerce Minister Khurram Dastgir Khan.


The Sri Lankan delegation, comprising top textile and business groups, leading textile chain stores, wholesale dealers, importers of fabric as well as representatives of chambers of commerce and industry, will be attending the textile sector exhibition.


The TeXpo 2016 is being arranged by the Trade Development Authority of Pakistan in collaboration with the Ministry of Commerce at Karachi’s Expo Center from April 7-10.


TeXpo 2016 will focus on value-added textile products like high-end garments, hosiery, ready-made garments and knitwear. As part of the expo, a fashion show will also be organised.
