KARACHI: Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) MPA Khurrum Sher Zaman on Tuesday tabled a resolution in the Sindh Assembly demanding that the Federal Board of Revenue and Federal Investigation Agency form a joint investigation team to initiate probes against beneficiaries named in the Panama scandal in Pakistan. Submitting a resolution in the assembly secretariat, he said. “The country is extremely concerned about the recent leaks coming out of Panama, a haven for tax evasion,” he said, adding some beneficiaries here in Pakistan could be hiding their illicit incomes. “The nation demands clarity on the matter as many accounts and companies are in names of people who have held political office or belong to the family of the sitting prime minister,” Zaman said.
