Enigma: Russian national held at hotel in Chitral

CHITRAL: A Russian national was held at his hotel in Chitral on Thursday. According to a police official, the suspect belongs to Moscow and claims he came to the area to marry a woman from Chitral. His original name is Apegans Viaheslax and is also known as Turud Ali. “The suspect wanted to construct a house in the region and was willing to offer Rs0.10 million to anyone who would help get him married to a Chitrali woman,” he said. The suspect was shifted to his hotel and his passport and other documents have been confiscated. “He was sent back from Chitral in December 2015,” he said. “However, he had returned.”
