LAHORE: The Pakistan Olympics Association President Gen Arif Hasan hinted that the country may adopt a bidding policy instead of the rotational one to decide the host city for the National Games. The 31st National Games that were held in Peshawar were postponed twice due to security concerns before finally taking place in December last year.

“There are a number of things that will be discussed in our upcoming General Council meeting,” said Hasan.”The National Games will also be on our agenda. We are in fact considering the option to have a bidding policy to decide the host city for the Games.”

Speaking on the concluding ceremony of the 7th National Jujitsu Championship that was won by Wapda, Hasan said a review of 2010 will be used to as a tool to improve this year’s events. “In the meeting we will review 2010 and chalk out upcoming plans accordingly. We are also considering applying age limit in the provisional games so that the youth is encouraged.”
