Jamrud mosque blast: Remembering the 107 fallen

Islam vowed to increase school security to a higher level, adding it was a priority to work

JAMRUD: A ceremony was held to mark the death anniversary of the bomb blast at a mosque in Jamrud on March 27, 2009 which claimed 107 lives. Security forces personnel at the adjacent Bhagyari check post also lost their lives. Assistant Political Agent Jamrud Saiful Islam and other elders of the area attended the ceremony and tributes were paid to the martyrs of that incident. A huge blast ripped through a mosque on March 27, 2009 when 107 people lost their lives, including 14 students of the Government High School Sorkamar, and 85 were injured. Islam vowed to increase school security to a higher level, adding it was a priority to work towards the future of students.
