Taking bribes: Three policemen suspended

KARACHI: Three policemen were suspended on Sunday over their alleged involvement in looting picnickers at Hawke’s Bay beach. They were suspended by City SP Zeeshan Siddiqui. The suspended policemen were sub-inspector Rasheed, head constable Khalil and constable Waseemuddin. Senior police officials had received several complaints by citizens against the suspended policemen, said an official, explaining that the suspended policemen used to earn bribes from picnickers. SP Siddiqui, after suspending them, ordered a departmental inquiry.
