‘Gift for dha residents’: Defence Mor renamed Pak Chowk

KARACHI:

Defence Housing Authority (DHA) Administrator Brig Zubair Ahmed inaugurated on Sunday a monument themed on the 'solidarity of Pakistan' at Defence Mor, the intersection of Sunset Boulevard and Korangi Road.

The DHA has also renamed Defence Mor as Pak Chowk to commemorate Pakistan Day which was observed on March 23, said a press release. The DHA administrator congratulated residents on Pakistan Day, and said the landmark structure reflected the vitality and solidarity of the nation and would be a source of inspiration for commuters as well as the youth. He termed the monument a gift for the people of the metropolis in general and residents of DHA in particular. Several DHA officials, consultant Atif Osmani and the contractor attended the ceremony.
