FAISALABAD: Additional Sessions Judge Rana Shaukat Ali issued arrest warrants for the Faisalabad chief traffic officer on Tuesday for not complying with court orders despite being served several notices. Muhammad Sajid Baig had filed a petition saying that he had been injured in a road accident near Khannuana Bypass on June 29, 2015. He said that the accident had occurred because of a traffic jam and dozens of people had been injured in the incident. The petitioner said that he had visited the CTO’s office to complain about the traffic jam and the resulting accident, however, Traffic Officer Muhammad Masoom had misbehaved with him and told him to get out of the office. “I was only trying to narrate my ordeal but Masoom humiliated me in front of everyone in the office.” He then filed a complaint at the sessions court where Judge Rana Shaukat Ali summoned the Faisalabad CTO to court several times. The CTO did not show up despite being served several notices. The court then issued arrest warrants for him directing police to produce him in court on March 21.
