Aisam, Bopanna through to third round of Australian Open

Rohan Bopanna and Aisamul Haq Qureshi defeat Jeremy Chardy and Arnaud Clement of France 6-3, 4-6, 6-4.

Pakistan’s tennis ace Aisamul Haq Qureshi and his Indian counterpart Rohan Bopanna won their Australian Open match on Friday against French pair Jeremy Chardy and Arnaud Clement to advance to the third round round of the men's double.

Qureshi and Bopanna won the round two men's doubles match 6-3, 4-6, 6-4 on the fifth day of the Australian Open tennis tournament in Melbourne.
Yesterday, they breezed past unseeded Brazilian pair of Franco Ferreiro and Andre Sa 6-3, 6-0 to win the match in just 49 minutes. The pair are seeded 10th in the tournament.
