SWABI: A general councillor of Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz was gunned down in Swabi Wednesday night. A police spokesperson told The Express Tribune Imtiaz Ali was parking his car in a garage near his house when unidentified men opened fire on him. Ali died on the spot, while the accused fled the site. The father of the deceased, Ajmal Khan, registered an FIR. He said Imtiaz, who was his only son, had no enemies. Imtiaz Ali was elected as a general councillor in Swabi in the 2015 local government elections. He also ran a medical centre. His funeral was held on Thursday evening and was attended by a large number of politicians.
