            There is a dire need to keep an eye on ongoing development schemes in health department and a four-member committee under the health secretary has been formed, said health minister Jam Mehtab Hussain Dahar on Monday. The committee will ensure the completion of the schemes, transparent purchase of medicines and medical equipment, he added. Dahar was president over a meeting of public sector development progress wing in his office. Dahar was informed that 97 development schemes of health department are in progress, while 22 new development schemes have been proposed for the new financial year. Dahar approved the proposal to establish a medical college and hospital at Hala. Health secretary Dr Saeed Ahmed Mangnejo, additional director Shaista Mubarak, Mohsin Ali Shah and Dr Jabbar Memon also attended the meeting.
