The spokesman strongly contradicted the news item that appeared in local and international media about the medical treatment of the spiritual leader of the insurgency. He said that news is unfounded and concocted to serve vested interests.
Earlier, an international newspaper claimed that Mullah Omar had a heart attack on the January 7 and was treated in Karachi with the help of intelligence service.
The US daily said Mullah Omar had stayed at the hospital for around four days and was later discharged.
Meanwhile, the Afghan Taliban have also dismissed the reports as baseless claims.
