High fees: Complaint cell formed for private schools’ issues

Private institutes can increase their fee only five to 10 per cent with prior approval from the authority concerned

Director of the Private Institutions Inspection and Registration Authority, Mirpurkhas, Abdul Hameed Shaikh, took notice of fee increase by private schools.


According to the fee schedule, private educational institutes can increase their fee only five to 10 per cent with prior approval from the authority concerned, he said in a statement issued on Friday. He told the administrations of all private schools in Mirpurkhas, Umerkot, Tharparkar and Sanghar districts that they do not charge any other fee except admission and monthly fee from their students.

A complaint cell, headed by assistant director Ashfaque Ahmed Panhwar, has been established and can be contacted on 0233 923 064 and 0300 323 8733. He advised parents to submit their complaints regarding fee increases against the school administration in writing.
