Rights Council: Kashmir issue figures in Geneva

She reiterated Pakistan's principled position

GENEVA: Right to self-determination for the people of Jammu and Kashmir is the most fundamental right which flows from the universal acknowledgment that all human beings are born free and equal in dignity. Permanent Representative of Pakistan to the United Nations in Geneva, Ambassador Tehmina Janjua stated this while speaking during the 31st session of the Human Rights Council (HRC) and forcefully raised the issue of right to self-determination for the people of Jammu and Kashmir. She reiterated Pakistan's principled position, calling for the resolution of the Kashmir dispute, in accordance with the UNSC resolutions as well as aspirations of the people of Jammu and Kashmir.
