All those looking for summer getaways have to no longer shuffle between numerous websites for the best possible destinations as search engine giant Google has made life even easier.

The search behemoth launched ‘Google Destinations’ on Wednesday allowing travelers to discover and plan their next vacation using Google Search on their phones. "Destinations" provides all the travel information a person might want, neatly curated, organised and bundled with booking options.

"According to our internal data for google.com, we saw a whopping 50 per cent increase in travel-related questions on mobile phones," the internet giant said in a blog post.

"There are a dizzying number of questions to answer when planning a trip: What are the best places to visit? What time of year is good to go? What kind of prices can I expect?" it added.

So, the search behemoth came up with a solution and the process is simpler than expected. A list of “easy-to-browse” collection of options appear once users enter in the search bar the continent, country or state they wish to travel to and add the word 'destination'.

By adding the word 'destination' to the search, the engine generates detailed results with the help of Google Flights and Hotel search, for users to be able to see available flight and hotel prices instantly.

This feature saves time as users no longer have to 'jump' between websites and tabs to get the required information.

Further, the engine also gives a list of options for activities which fit the traveler's hobbies and interests.

The 'Flexible Dates' filter is another feature which allows travelers to plan their vacation conveniently. "The filter lets you refine your results by month, so you can see when fares and rates are lowest within the time range you want, across multiple destinations."

Clicking on the 'Explore' tab after entering a destination allows travelers to see what the weather is like during their expected time of travel and when that particular destination is most popular, based on historic visits from other travelers.

Estimated rates for hotels and flights can be seen by selecting 'Plan a trip' after having chosen a destination.

"We show you highs and lows for the next six months, so you can find the right price tag for you. And as you slide left or right, the results instantly update with real-time fares and rates, pulling from the trillions of flight itineraries and hotels we price every day on Google Flights and Hotel search.

"You can also tap the pencil icon to customise results further with flight and hotel preferences, including number of stops, hotel class, and number of travelers."

Destinations on Google also has a vast range of suggested itineraries compiled on the basis of recommendations by previous travelers.
