Dilapited building: Koh-i-Noor flats to be renovated

The government has released Rs258 million for repair and maintenance of Koh-i-Noor flats

FAISALABAD: The government has released Rs258 million as payment for the flats in Koh-i-Noor. A spokesperson for the local administration told journalists on Wednesday that Koh-i-Noor flats were built for workers and labourers in 1976. The flats had not been repaired since and were in dilapidated condition. He said the government had asked residents of the flats to relocate temporarily so the building can be repaired. “They will be remunerated for the relocation,” the spokesperson said.  The government has released Rs258 million for repair and maintenance of Koh-i-Noor flats. The Labour Department will ensure payment to the allottees.
