Fja: Judges asked to be gender-sensitive

At the academy, 26 female judges of family courts are undergoing the weeklong training

ISLAMABAD: Creating gender balance at all levels is critical. This was said by Federal Judicial Academy Director General Fakhar Hayat on Monday. He was speaking at ceremony of one-week course on management of family cases for female judges.  “Women often find it more difficult than men to access justice system. We need gender-sensitive judges to promote access of women to the justice system,” he said. He said that all judges should be trained in management of family cases and should be practiced at all levels of court structure.

At the academy, 26 female judges of family courts are undergoing the weeklong training.
