Only seven points separated the two in the first frame and Raheem built the foundation of the victory on the first frame. The third and fourth frames were closer as well but he held on to win with a scoreline of 68-61, 70-24(63), 58-36, 68-50.

Raheem will now meet China’s Wang Yuchen for a place in the last-eight.
Meanwhile, Tahir came back from 2-1 down to win 4-2 against India’s Nikhil Rakesh with scores of 53-40, 40-62, 17-74, 138-0(100), 82-07, 104-17.
He will lock horns with Hong Kong’s Man Hoi Leong in the last-16.
