Cardiac Arrest: JI's provincial naib ameer dies

HARIPUR: Jamaat-e-Islami's provincial naib ameer Mehrajuddin died of a cardiac arrest in Haripur on Saturday. Party sources confirmed the news of the JI leader’s death. The party’s former information secretary Shahid Gohar informed The Express Tribune Mehrajuddin was in Haripur where he attended an all parties rally against the hanging of Qadri and a meeting with party’s district head in Mansehra. He added after attending the events, Mehrajuddin was on his way home when he suffered a cardiac arrest and collapsed. He added doctors confirmed a heart attack as the cause of his sudden death. Later, his remains were shifted to his native village.
