The three attackers managed to flee. Police have taken the body to a hospital for post-mortem

SARGODHA: A man was shot dead in a Jhaal Chakian police precinct on Thursday. Police said 65-year-old Noor Muhammad, a resident of Chak 54/N-B, had been trying to mediate between two rival families in his village. He was at a meeting with members of both families when Zaheer Ahmed and two other accomplices, members of one of the rival families, shot him. Noor Muhammad died at the spot. The three attackers managed to flee. Police have taken the body to a hospital for post-mortem examination.
