QUETTA:

Following the Balochistan High Court’s (BHC) directions, the provincial government formed a judicial commission on Tuesday to probe the actual causes of Saqiba’s suicide.

The commission headed by district and sessions judge Aftab Ahmed Loon will probe Saqiba’s suicide and submit its report within one month.

The Saqiba case was heard in a BHC bench headed by Justice Jamal Mandokhail and Justice Shakeel Baloch.

The Advocate General presented a notification copy, citing that a judicial commission had been formed to determine the prime cause that forced despondent Saqiba to commit suicide after her college application forms were rejected.

Her family and fellows launched a campaign called “Justice for Saqiba Hakeem Kakar” and staged demonstrations in front of BHC last month.
