Civil defence day: Awareness drive begins today

RAWALPINDI: The International Civil Defence Day will be observed on Tuesday in the Rawalpindi Division. The day will be observed by the Civil Defence Department. As part of the occasion, walks, seminars and conferences will be held to create awareness among the public regarding safety measures during natural calamities such as earthquakes and floods. As part of the drive, security experts will deliver a series of lectures promoting the adoption of precautionary measures. In addition, civil defence volunteers will demonstrate practical measures.
