Court Bar Association: Punjab governor assigns Rs2 million funds for KBA

The governor highlighted the role of media and praised its struggle in restoration of democracy in the country

All political parties have played their role in restoring peace in Karachi, said Punjab governor Malik Muhammad Rafique Rajwana on Saturday.


The senator-turned-governor Rajwana, who is affiliation with ruling Pakistan Muslim League - Nawaz, was speaking at a ceremony organised by Karachi Bar Association. He also announced Rs2 million funds for the bar.

During his speech to the legal fraternity, he opined that people always look to lawyers to advocate change in society. "The lawyers have maintained the legacy of their noble profession by welcoming arguments and accepting the criticism," he claimed.

Speaking about the on-going development projects in the country, he said that every province was getting its share of the progress. "After Green Bus, work on circular railway will also be initiated in the port city," he added.

The governor highlighted the role of media and praised its struggle in restoration of democracy in the country.
