Viral disease: Dengue mosquito surveillance under way

SARGODHA: More than 500 dengue-mosquito surveillance teams comprising lady health workers, sanitary inspectors, CDC supervisors and health officials have been tasked with checking various points of Sargodhha district, Health Executive District Officer Nazir Aaqib Nekokara said on Sunday. He said they had been instructed to carry out dengue-mosquito surveillance daily. “CDC supervisors have recently undergone extensive training to enhance their working capacity,” he said. No dengue fever cases have been reported in the district so far, he said. “We have taken effective measures to ensure this doesn’t happen.”
