LAHORE:
Strengthening women is a matter of survival for the Pakistani society. History has shown that no society has attained economic development without investing in women empowerment, Punjab University Faculty of Behavioral and Social Sciences Dean Zakria Zakir said on Saturday.
He was speaking at a seminar on women empowerment organised jointly by the PU Institute of Social and Cultural Studies and the Women Development Department (WDD).
