Fake Cop: Imposter sent on 5-day remand
ISLAMABAD:
A Judicial Magistrate of Islamabad on Friday granted a five-day physical remand of a man claiming to be a police officer to the Margalla Police Station in a fraud and forgery case. Judicial Magistrate Jawad Hussain Aadil heard the case against Imran Khurshid for showing a fake police service card at a police check post. The Margalla Police informed the court that the accused pretended to be an employee of the Punjab Police as the Islamabad Police sought his identity at a check post. The police had recovered the service card of the Punjab Police, which was later found to be fake during his interrogation, police officials added. They appealed the court to grant physical remand of the accused to complete the investigation into the case. After hearing the arguments, the court granted a five days physical remand of the accused to the Margalla Police.
