Emerging city: 186 development schemes approved

The spokesman said Rs2 million would be spent on repair and renovation of two churches

FAISALABAD: The district development committee (DDC) has approved 186 development schemes for Faisalabad at an estimated cost of Rs79 million. A spokesman of the district administration said construction of boundary walls around 172 public schools had been approved. He said Rs30 million had been allocated for this purpose. He said Rs45 million would be spent on construction, repair and rehabilitation of various roads in the city. He said Rs2 million had been earmarked for soling in various streets. The spokesman said Rs2 million would be spent on repair and renovation of two churches.
