Police said they had arrested 15 drug-peddlers on Thursday and recovered narcotics and illicit weapons from them.
A police spokesman said that teams from various police stations had arrested the suspects during raids in their areas.
They had recovered 300 grammes of heroin, 2,195 grammes of hashish, four pistols, two [short] guns, a rifle and 35 cartridges and bullets. The suspects included Muhammad Aziz, Safdar Hussain, Hakim Khan, Ahamd Yar, Abid Ali, Saif Ali, Nawaz, Dost Muhammad, Hayat, Mazhar, Tanveer Ahamd and Ghulam Raza.
