PESHAWAR:

University of Engineering and Technology, Peshawar has approved two projects for its Technology Incubation Centre. The centre at UET helps start-ups, particularly in the field of management and technology and provides support services.

The decision was taken at the meeting of TIC’s committee at UET’s video conference hall on Wednesday where two proposals were pitched, stated a press release. The meeting was chaired by UET Vice Chancellor Prof Iftikhar Hussain.

One of the candidates Syed Irfan Ajmal presented his project titled ‘Digital Marketing Services’. Irfan, who was running a business for some time and has also worked on some projects in USA, needed a platform where his business could take root.

The second project was presented by two final-year students of UET’s industrial department, Samiullah and M Afaq Najam. Their project, Absolute XEROS, will provide a cab service in Peshawar where customers can call cabs at their doorstep.
