PESHAWAR: Traders have asked the K-P government to arrest the killers of senior trader, Haji Haleem Jan, and take immediate steps to put an end to the threats of extortionists towards the business community. “The traders are receiving threats from extortionists,” Haji Mujeebur Rahman, a member of Markazi Tanzeem Tajran, said while speaking at a rally in Dabgari Garden on Tuesday. He added police had completely failed to provide security to them. “After Jan’s death, his sons are receiving threats, but the police are just [standing like] silent spectators.” The traders marched through different busy markets of the city and chanted slogans against the government for its failure to arrest the killers of Jan who was slain in Qissa Khwani Bazaar.
