Syndicate Meeting; Free education for prisoners

SWAT: Syndicate of the University of Swat has approved provision of free education to prisoners and people with disabilities. The approval was given during a meeting of the syndicate members held on Saturday. The meeting was chaired by the varsity’s VC, Dr Jehan Bakht. Members of the syndicate also approved pre-mature increments for Class-IV staff and allowance for all administrative employees. On the occasion, the university syndicate also gave the green signal to amending the policy to offer scholarships for higher education.
