Commendation: Nisar gives certificate, cash to FC man

ISLAMABAD: Interior minister Chaudhry Nisar Ali Khan here on Thursday gave a commendation certificate and a cheque for Rs300,000 to a Frontier Corps soldier for countering a terrorist who fired on police at a checkpost in the I-9 sector. The soldier will also receive an amount of Rs500,000 announced by the government for the injured officials. The FC soldier pursued the terrorist and saved the post from further damage. The minister said the nation was proud of its courageous soldiers who without caring for their lives faced terrorists with determination.
