Music legend Paul McCartney was reportedly denied entry to a Grammy after party hosted by the rapper Tyga.

According to TMZ, McCartney, Beck and Foo Fighters drummer Taylor Hawkins tried to attend Tyga's post-Grammy party at Argyle in Hollywood, but were denied entry by security twice.

In the video, 73-year-old McCartney is shown saying, "How VIP do we gotta get? We need another hit, guys. We need another hit."

Seems like McCartney may need to resurrect the Beatles for another record since his nominations for Best Rap Song and Best Rap Record this year for All Day don't seem to be enough.

After a second failed attempt to enter, the artists bailed and made their way to Hyde for the Republic Records party.

Rapper and host of the party, Tyga, denies all knowledge of the incident and refuses to apologise for it. He took to Twitter to defend himself.

Fans of McCartney took to Twitter to shame Tyga.

When 28-year-old Bow Wow was told Paul McCartney wasn't allowed to the same party he easily entered, Bow Wow found it hard to believe, saying "you gotta be lying." He then went on to explain, "Maybe it's the fact that we're younger than Paul and it's a new generation; and we really club and we really go out."
