Heinous: Woman dies after being set ablaze

SIALKOT: A woman died of burn injuries on Tuesday after being set alight allegedly by her husband, his mother and the wife of his elder brother. Police said that she was taken to a hospital but she died on the way there. Zahid, a resident of Kala Ghumana, had married Faiza a year ago. Police said that interrogations had revealed that Zahid used to quarrel with Faiza and would belittle her for bringing very little dowry at the time of marriage. Muradpur police have registered a case on a complaint filed by the victim’s father Riaz.
