Polio worker: Rs0.2m given to slain EPI manager’s son

PESHAWAR:
Chief Minister Pervez Khattak presented a cheque of Rs0.2 million to Munib Khan, son of slain Dr Yakoob Khan, on behalf of Rotary PolioPlus Committee. The tribute ceremony was held at CM House in the city. Khattak chaired the ceremony. Senior Minister for Health Shahram Khan Tarakai, PolioPlus National Chair Aziz Memon, CDG Rauf Rohaila and others attended the event. Swabi EPI Manager Dr Yakoob Khan was gunned down on November 30, 2015 while he was on his way to work. He was also very active in administrating polio drops to children in the district.
