Checks On Teachers: Final call for biometric verification

The minister said the verification system has been introduced to ensure attendance of teachers in schools and colleges

KARACHI: The provincial education and literacy department has announced the last date to register biometric impressions of all teaching and non-teaching staff of Sindh’s schools and colleges. In a statement issued on Monday, senior education minister Nisar Ahmed Khuhro said the last date to register biometrics is February 16 (today). Khuhro informed that of the 202,725 teaching and non-teaching staff of schools in Sindh, 190, 465 have completed their biometric registration, while 12,260 employees remain. From the 18,207 teaching and non-teaching staff of colleges in Sindh, a total of 14,552 have registered themselves while 3,655 are still unregistered. The minister said the verification system has been introduced to ensure attendance of teachers in schools and colleges.
