FAISALABAD: Three people were killed and 25 others were injured in two traffic accident on Monday.

Thirteen passengers were injured when a bus rammed into a tractor-trolley parked alongside the road on Jaranwala-Buchiana Road early Monday in Lundianwala. According to Rescue 1122, the Sadiqabad-bound bus (BSA-221) was comingfrom Nankana Sahib when it rammed into the tractor-trolley near Panj Pullan Dharrian stop, Jaranwala-Buchiana Road due to fog.

As a result, 13 passengers were injured. The injured were identified as GhulamRaza, Jamil, Maqbool, Shahzad, ZahidIqbal, Kashif, Shafique, Sarwar, Riasat, Abdul Qayyum, Iqbal, Imran and tractor trolley driver Asghar Ali. They were shifted to JaranwalaTHQ Hospital.Doctors said two of them, Jamil and Maqbool,were referred to the Faisalabad DHQ Hospital.

Separately, at least three people died and 12 others were injured when a truck collided with a bus in a ShahpurSaddar police precinct in Sargodha.

The bus was travelling to Mianwali from Khushab when a speeding truck skidded off the road and rammed into the bus near Wagiwalat the Sargodha railway crossing. As a result, three passengers died on the spot and while 12 others were wounded. The injured were taken to the tehsil headquarters hospital for treatment. The truck driver fled.

Chief Minister Shahbaz expressed grief over the accident and demanded a report on the incident from the authorities. He also directed the THQ hospital administration to provide the victims with the best possible treatment.

Separately in Sargodha, two people died and two others were badly injured in road accidents in an Atta Shaheed police precinct on Monday.

Police said MianMehboob, a resident of Chak 88-SB, his wife AsmatBibi and son were travelling to Sargodha on a motorcycle. A rashly-driven minivan rammed into their vehicle on Lahore Road near Chak 70-SB, police said. Mehboob died on the spot and AsmatBibi and her son were badly injured.

Separately, 12-year-old Mussarat died after her scarf became entangled in the wheel of a motorcycle rickshaw near Chak 45-SB. Police said the child was travelling on the motorcycle rickshaw when her scarf got caught in the wheel and strangled her. She was taken to a hospital but she could not be revived.
