Attempt Foiled: Man claiming to be saint arrested

The shopkeeper believed him and gave him Rs100,000

NAUDERO: An alleged criminal claiming to be a saint was arrested by Naudero police on Saturday. Sixty-five-year-old Mazhar, calling himself a saint, came to the shop of Muzaffar Soomro and told him that he can double his money right in front of them. The shopkeeper believed him and gave him Rs100,000 which the fraudster wrapped in a cloth and kept on the table. He then asked the shopkeeper to close his eyes and left the shop with the money. The shopkeeper searched for the cheat, caught him and brought him to the police station, where he was arrested for fraud.
