Lack of proof: Home minister defends PPP’s link with Uzair Baloch
The Sindh home minister Suhail Anwar Siyal has objected to linking the issues of the Rangers powers and arrest of gangster Uzair Baloch with Pakistan Peoples Party’s leader Asif Zardari.
“Connecting any politician with a criminal on the basis of photographs is wrong,” he said while talking to the media on Saturday.
Earlier, Siyal chaired a meeting at Hyderabad DIG’s office with the police officials. During the meeting, security issues pertaining to educational institutions were discussed.

According to the Siyal, the police stations have been asked to evaluate the security of the schools, colleges and universities in their jurisdictions. The SHOs will also suggest measures for strengthening the security.
“We are not trying to ensure security of any particular school. All schools and students are equally sensitive [in terms of security threats] to me.”
“There is no denying the presence of terrorist elements in the country. They can be around in any form or as part of any organisation,” he added.
