ISLAMABAD:

An accountability court on Thursday sent two retired army officers to jail on judicial remand and extended physical remand of another man for five days in the Defence Housing Authority (DHA) farmhouse project scam.

Accountability court judge Muhammad Bashir sent former DHA project director Col (retd) Sabahat Qadeer Butt and former administrator Brig (retd) Javed Iqbal to jail on the expiry of their physical remand.

Meanwhile, Elysium Holdings CEO Waseem Aslam was remanded back to NAB custody after producing them in court.

During the hearing, the NAB officials requested the court to grant a 14-day extension of physical remand as the investigation has yet to be completed.

NAB Rawalpindi had arrested the suspects for allegedly causing huge losses by illegally selling non-saleable certificates of the project in violation of the contract between DHA and Elysium and for failure to first acquire the land.
