LAHORE: An additional district and sessions judge on Wednesday sought comments from the Iqbal Town SHO in a petition filed against four people for allegedly trying to take possession of a piece of land allocated for the construction of a mosque. Petitioner Salahuddin Khan stated that one Qamaruddin had left a piece of land for the construction of a mosque. “The possession of the land was handed over to me. After his death, Qamaruddin’s sons, Farooq, Aftab, Ijaz and Shakeel tried to take possession of the land. They were accompanied by a police team. I produced the stay order before DSP Rana Ashfaq. Qamaruddin’s sons threatened to kill anyone who tried to construct the mosque,” Khan said. He requested the court to direct the SHO to register an FIR against the accused.
