Imposter: Fake agency man arrested

The police said about two dozens of cases were already registered against Jameel Ahmed

ISLAMABAD: The Karachi Company Police on Monday arrested a fraudster for defrauding a citizen of money while pretending to be an official of a secret agency. According to police, Jameel Mubarik lodged a complaint with the Karachi Company Police on January 13 stating that a man pretending to be a member of a secret law enforcement agency snatched Rs40,000 from him while searching the area of Pakistan Institute of Medical Sciences. Acting on information, the police arrested the accused, identified as Jameel Ahmed, a resident of Kasur. The police said about two dozens of cases were already registered against Jameel Ahmed in different police stations of the city including Margalla, Kohsar, Aabpara and Karachi Company. The accused has been jailed several times in fraud-related cases, the police added.
