FAISALABAD: The Faisalabad Development Authority (FDA) declared two housing schemes illegal and advised citizens to avoid purchasing plots in these colonies. A spokesman of the FDA said Sitara Valley and Faisal Garden Phase-II on Sheikhupura Road had been declared illegal.  He said the Water and Sanitation Agency (WASA), the Faisalabad Electric Supply Company (FESCO) and the Sui Northern Gas Pipelines Limited (SNGPL) had been asked to not provide facilities to the housing colonies until their developers received approval from the FDA. The spokesman said under Punjab Local Government Ordinance 2001 and Punjab Development of Cities Act 1976, all housing scheme developers must apply for permission from the FDA before developing any residential schemes.
