Quetta tragedy: Two children dead in roof collapse

According to the regional Met office, approximately 45mm rain has been recorded in Quetta

QUETTA: Two children died when the roof of a house collapsed in Kasi Road on Friday after torrential rains lashed the provincial capital Quetta and other parts of Balochistan over the last 24 hours. According to the regional Met office, approximately 45mm rain has been recorded in Quetta and more rains are expected in the next 24 hours in Quetta and other cities of Balochistan.  “The mud roof collapsed early morning Friday on Kasi Road and two children, Muhammad Javed and Muhammad Dawood, died in the incident,” rescue teams confirmed. “We heard a loud sound and rushed outside the house where we saw the how the roof came crashing down on the children and we called the rescue workers soon after the incident,” said Abdul Ghani, a resident of Kasi Road.
