HYDERABAD: A three-day Model United Nations (MUN) conference began at Mehran University of Engineering and Technology (MUET) in Jamshoro on Friday. MUET vice-chancellor Prof Dr Muhammad Aslam Uqaili inaugurated the event. According to a spokesperson for the university, the MUN sessions will take place until Sunday. Prof Uqaili said that the main objective of organising the MUN was to create awareness among graduates about world and regional issues, such as terrorism, extremism and environmental hazards. Around 400 male and female students of the university are taking part in these sessions, said MUET registrar Prof Dr Taha Hussain Ali.
